    Bola Odetokun

    Founder

    Bola Odetokun is a graduate of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife; the Federal University of Technology, Akure and Walden University; Minneapolis, Minnesota. She was born and bred in Nigeria but relocated with her family to the United States in 2002.

    She is a Certified Data Privacy Solutions Engineer (CDPSE), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), an Oracle Certified Professional (OCP), and has several years of experience working for top global IT consulting firms in the US.

    Bola has a passion for and enjoys working with families and youths/young adults, especially at a time like this when family values are continuously being eroded. She spent her early years in the US working with children in preschool through high school and her experiences have shaped her outlook and perspectives.

    She has written many articles on parenting and family issues and conducts workshops and seminars as well as speaks at conferences around the United States, Canada and Nigeria.

    Bola loves to read, sing, try new recipes, volunteer and travel.

  • Dr. Akanmu Adebayo

    Board Chairman

    Dr. Akanmu Adebayo is Professor of History at Kennesaw State University (KSU). He was also formerly Director of the Center for Conflict Management (CCM), and Executive Director of the Institute for Global Initiatives (IGI) at KSU.

    He received his education at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU, formerly University of Ife), where he earned his B.A. (1979), M.A. (1982), and Ph.D. (1986) in History.

    Professor Adebayo has taught in many universities in Nigeria, Canada, and the United States. He was Visiting Associate Professor at York University, Toronto, Canada; and Research Fellow at the Center for Modern Oriental Studies, Berlin, Germany; and Visiting Professor at University of Ibadan in Nigeria. Professor Adebayo specializes in the history of Africa and the African Diaspora, including the changing family dynamics in Africa and the Diaspora.

    He has published many books and articles on African economic history, conflict management, and transnational migrations. Currently, he is the editor of Lexington Books’ “Conflict and Security in the Developing World” book series.

    Afrakuma Banner-Bruce

    Board Member

    With a degree in Finance and Economics from Georgia State University and an MSBA from NYU Stern, Afra has over 15 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance and process improvement with a core competency in corporate finance. Her consistent ability to improve and drive value along all fronts has widened her roles and services along diverse industries. Key industries include Consumer Services, Health Care, Manufacturing and Consulting/Professional Services.

    Her experience in Finance and Business Analytics allows her to deliver leadership and decision based effective strategies to transform day to day business processes. Working with a similar analytical thought frame, her delight is to spend time with the youth to help bring out the best opportunities that will map out a brighter and more productive future for all. After-all, our future lies in the hands of the upcoming generation; if we don’t lend a listening ear and a hand to ensure they cultivate the best habits we will pay dearly for our lack of interest. She serves on the PRI Executive Board with a finance capacity.

    Bola Adesuyi

    Board Member

    Bola Adesuyi is the Managing Consultant and CEO of Seagles Consulting Group, LLC, a Management Consulting firm. An ardent proponent of community service, she has served in various community and non-profit organizations.

    Ms. Adesuyi is passionate about accessibility of information, opportunities, and resources to all communities. Bola is an alumnus of the Satcher Health Leadership Institute.

    Ms. Adesuyi led the project team for the establishment of a free clinic for medical services to the undeserved and uninsured. She served as Executive Director of the clinic and a Director on the Board until 2018.

    Ngozika Orjioke

    Board Member

    Ngozika Orjioke is a Board certified Pulmonary Critical Care, Pulmonary and Internal medicine physician with a vast array of experience in clinical, administrative medicine as well as Healthcare Policy. She is a highly sought-after clinician and administrator with vast experience in healthcare startups and turning around distressed hospitals to profitability.

    She has served as part time Faculty with GME (Graduate Medical Education) IM (Internal medicine) Residency program in Atlanta GA. She is a member of American Thoracic Society and Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians.

    She is the proud mother of five beautiful children, who have truly motivated and continually inspire her to be better, daily. She is a practicing Christian and continues to attribute her successes to the loving favor and grace of Jesus.
